Service Description: Secure digital family management, shared custody scheduling, maintenance expense reconciliation, and tamper-evident communication record-keeping platform.
MyFam provides tools to store records concerning minor children. By registering a child profile or uploading minor identity documents (including birth certificates, passports, national IDs, or school cards), you warrant and declare under penalty of law that:
Under both South African law (POPIA Section 26) and Australian law (Privacy Act 1988 APP 3), health and medical information constitutes Special / Sensitive Personal Information.
By entering or uploading medical aid details, Medicare references, pediatric allergies, doctor consultation notes, vaccination cards, or healthcare invoices, you provide explicit, unbundled consent for the collection and processing of this sensitive data strictly for co-parenting medical synchronization and shared healthcare expense reimbursement. All health data is encrypted at rest and accessible only to authorized circle members.
A primary purpose of MyFam is creating tamper-evident records suitable for family court proceedings, dispute resolution, and maintenance enforcement under South African family law (Rule 35 of the Uniform Rules of Court / Maintenance Act 99 of 1998) and Australian family law (Family Law Rules 2021 / Evidence Act 1995 (Cth)):
When users invite third parties (such as divorce attorneys, mediators, social workers, or family report writers) into a family profile, such third parties operate as independent Operators (POPIA Sec. 20/21) and independent APP Entities (Privacy Act 1988). Third-party observers must maintain strict professional confidentiality, access records solely within the scope of their legal or mediation mandate, and are strictly prohibited from exporting or repurposing family records outside court-sanctioned proceedings.
Our cloud databases and infrastructure are hosted with Google Cloud Platform / Firebase in secure offshore regions (such as the European Union and United States), with administrative and engineering support provided across South Africa and Australia (Global Platinum Consulting Pty Ltd). Pursuant to POPIA Section 72 and APP 8, you consent to these trans-border disclosures on the basis that these cloud operators and corporate affiliates are bound by Standard Contractual Clauses, ISO 27001/SOC 2 certifications, and privacy regimes providing substantially similar protections.
